About The Position
Guitar Center is hiring a part-time Music Teacher to teach music lessons using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher helps grow student enrollment and supports students’ continued development and enjoyment of music. The role also includes fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, while providing an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the instrument or area the candidate will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
- Share students’ goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
