About The Position

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers predominantly perform Coordinator duties and occasionally act as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. The role requires open availability, including nights and weekends, and serves as a role model for exceptional customer service. The Key Carrier creates a positive internal and external customer experience, promotes honesty and integrity, and maintains confidentiality. As Manager on Duty, the Key Carrier follows company policy and procedures, helps ensure store tasks are completed according to plan, addresses customer service issues, supports and coaches Associates, and communicates priorities and progress to management and Associates. The role also supports training, operational compliance, safety, credit and loyalty programs, and shrink-reduction goals. This position is at the Marshalls store at 5811 Worth Parkway in San Antonio, Texas. Starting pay is USD $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, with actual pay based on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity, and maintain confidentiality.
Act as Manager on Duty in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure the store team performs tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Address immediate customer service issues and provide appropriate coaching to Associates.
Use discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas.
Ensure Associates follow operational procedures.
Ensure opening and closing procedures follow company guidelines.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
