About The Position

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers primarily perform Coordinator duties and occasionally act as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. The role requires open availability, including nights and weekends, and modeling exceptional customer service. Key Carriers create positive customer experiences, act as Manager on Duty in accordance with company policy and procedure, and help ensure that store activities, coverage, and operational procedures meet company guidelines. They address customer service issues, coach and support Associates, communicate priorities and progress, and partner with Management on training. They also support labor-law compliance, credit and loyalty programs, shrink reduction, and store safety. The position is located at the Sierra store at 1447 E. LaSalle Drive in Bismarck, North Dakota. The starting pay range is $16.00 to $16.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policy and procedure.
Ensure the store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Address immediate customer service issues and provide appropriate coaching to Associates.
Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
Ensure Associates adhere to operational procedures.
Ensure opening and closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines.
Communicate accurately and effectively with Management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
