The Key Account Manager will play a critical role in accelerating growth by developing and executing strategic customer plans for the Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart accounts. Reporting to the Customer Sales Lead, the role involves building joint business plans, identifying growth opportunities, and driving in-market execution. The Key Account Manager will act as the voice of the customer within Haleon, ensuring customer needs are integrated into planning cycles and delivering strong, sustainable results. This position requires cross-functional collaboration to align customer strategies with internal priorities and offers an opportunity to build deep commercial expertise in a dynamic environment that values ownership, performance, and personal development.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills – English
  • Bachelor’s degree completed
  • Valid driver license
  • 2+ years direct selling experience, preferably with designated key account
  • 5+ years of retail account management and development experience
  • Deep market, category and account expertise
  • Strong management and relationship building capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop consultative/solutions selling to large/strategic retail accounts
  • Proven ability to work effectively on cross functional teams and coordinate cross functional requirements for account
  • Track record of driving results
  • Strong planning & time management skills
  • Strong analytical and presentation/story telling skills
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and throughout employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • To be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, Haleon must obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and driver’s abstract review as part of its safe driver program requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Gross Sales, Net Sales, Profit, Consumption and $Share growth objectives for Loblaw and SDM.
  • Drive and align Haleon’s Strategic agenda with customer through effective multi-year Joint Business Planning (where applicable).
  • Prioritize and allocate investment budgets against key business drivers; optimize ROI-based trade spend.
  • Achieve new product distribution objectives for assigned categories.
  • Execute Haleon brand & shopper-based in-store strategies with excellence (shelving, distribution, promotion, pricing).
  • Accountability for gross sales forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure appropriate tracking & reporting tools & processes are in place to measure results against critical KPI goals.
  • Develop exceptional customer relationships consistent with Haleon core values of trust and respect.
  • Be viewed as the category and shopper expert and partner of choice for your category.
  • Role model collaboration as a key success behavior to achieve brand, shopper, and customer goals.
  • Collaborate with Digital Commerce team to evolve/develop omni presence with customer.
  • Partner with Sales Strategy to ensure Customer needs are met and embedded in brand plans.
  • Partner with Category Management, Shopper Marketing and Insights to drive a shopper-centric customer agenda.
  • Integrate Net Revenue Management guidance into promotion ROI and trade negotiation plans.
  • Partner with Sales Finance Team to measure impact of investment options against P&L priorities.
  • Partner with Retail Development to ensure perfect instore execution of agreed shopper and customer plans.
  • Partner with Replenishment Analyst to set and achieve #1 in customer service and onshelf availability goals.
