About The Position

The Key Account Manager is responsible for maximizing the sales of our brands in the defined sales territory. This includes key account management and the development, implementation, and continuous adaptation of account plans to achieve sales goals. This is based on customer and market knowledge and in line with the defined brand strategy. It also involves building and maintaining sustainable relationships with key customers and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Completed medical or natural science degree, certified pharmaceutical representative, or comparable qualification.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical sales, ideally in hospital sales.
  • Enjoy advising doctors, pharmacies, and specialists.
  • Independent and self-responsible way of working.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and high willingness to travel.
  • Confident use of Office 365 applications.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of suitable measures and strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Building and maintaining a well-founded understanding of the market for our brands in the respective sales territory.
  • Collection and analysis of relevant market and customer information through exchange with customers, stakeholders, and other available information sources.
  • Creation, management, and monitoring of customer development plans for all relevant prescribing centers, including the coordination of cross-divisional support measures.
  • Identification and evaluation of market opportunities and development of suitable measures in collaboration with the local team for optimal utilization of business potential.
  • Internal exchange and communication of market knowledge and customer information within the team.
  • Implementation of the account and brand strategy and continuous adaptation of measures to changing market conditions.
  • Analysis and tracking of sales activities, sales results, and budgets.
  • Customer support: Planning, organization, and execution of customer activities.
  • Identification and support of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other relevant stakeholders in the sales territory.
  • Promotion and exchange of best-practice initiatives.
  • Close collaboration with the local business unit team consisting of Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Access/Engagement, Sales, and other service functions and cross-functional teams at local and international levels.
  • Collaboration with hospital physicians, outpatient specialists, nursing staff, and other relevant medical professional groups such as laboratory scientists, pharmacists, hospital controllers, and purchasing managers.
  • Building and maintaining relevant contacts in the area of Market Access.
  • Collaboration with opinion leaders, decision-makers, and patient organizations.
