About The Position

This role is an elevated Sales position within Amcor as the key contact and driver for strategically prominent Amcor accounts. Provides effective strategic and tactical sales direction and communications strategies to defend existing business, improve profitability of existing business, and to profitably develop new business. Implements strategy, business and marketing plans for assigned accounts, project management of customer related initiatives, product positioning with customer, drives product line evolution and product innovation with customer. This role is focused on growth of assigned account through share of wallet and developing and executing a long-term strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • relevant experience in technical, sales and general management preferably within the packaging industry
  • 7+ years’ experience
  • Proven track record of successful sales growth and profitability
  • Experience with negotiations; strong influencing and persuasion skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic and sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for assigned accounts
  • Responsible for development and execution of strategic and robust account plans
  • Lead and manage project initiatives (internal and external) toward Amcor goals
  • Increase business with existing accounts through networking
  • Create and execute strategy to maintain and grow the assigned account
  • Possess a detailed knowledge of Amcor, our products, the industry and competitive market, enabling the business to solidify itself as an industry leader and fulfil Amcor’s Winning Aspiration to be the leading global packaging company
  • Manage the complexities of account(s) in support of customer needs
  • Build relationships with customers based upon trust and respect
  • Orchestrate and lead key business negotiations, supporting Amcor’s interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actions
  • Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting
  • Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results
  • Manages accounts receivable as acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department
  • Work with Strategic Marketing to identify, analyze and recommend actions to meet strategic unmet customer needs
  • Build highly collaborative relationships between Amcor and your account/s to include: senior leadership, procurement, engineering, quality, operations, sales management, support teams, key Amcor global contacts etc. with a view of enhancing sales initiatives and profitably while meeting customer needs
  • Responsible for the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in CRM tool
  • Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trials
  • Communicates competitive developments in his/her account base regarding marketing strategies, pricing structures or product performance and communicates intelligence to management through the Monthly Report system
