About The Position

Flyability is seeking a Key Account Manager for North America to join their dynamic scale-up environment in the growing drone industry. The company's mission is to send robots into hazardous places instead of humans, with their product Elios being the world's first collision-tolerant flying robot for confined space inspection. Requirements

  • 3+ years in key account management, business development, or complex B2B sales, ideally selling hardware and software into industrial customers.
  • Familiarity with large multi-site organizations and their procurement processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to translate complex technology into clear and accessible language for diverse audiences.
  • Confidence in influencing stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Natural curiosity about industries, customers, and technology.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Holding a valid driver’s license.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Denver area.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time, nationally and internationally.
  • Comfortable working on industrial sites, which may involve climbing multiple flights of stairs, and loading, unloading, and setting up equipment weighing 50–70 lb.

Responsibilities

  • Grow a portfolio of 10-20 of Flyability’s largest North American accounts, focusing on asset owners in cement, power generation, pulp & paper, steel, and chemicals, as well as inspection companies serving them.
  • Ensure account success with Elios hardware, software, and payloads, and drive expansion into new sites, departments, and use cases.
  • Map each account from pilot to economic decision-maker and conduct business development within the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Area Sales Managers and reseller partners in the region.
  • Manage the revenue objective and growth strategy for the assigned account portfolio.
  • Maintain account mapping of stakeholders in Salesforce.
  • Identify new sites, departments, and use cases, and manage the opportunity lifecycle from demonstration to purchase order.
  • Conduct regular on-site and remote interactions with users and sponsors, including business reviews with the largest accounts.
  • Develop coordinated account plans with Area Sales Managers and reseller partners.
  • Proactively identify risks related to adoption, satisfaction, and competitive threats, and mobilize relevant teams (Customer Success, Support, Product, Field Operations) to address them.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Marketing teams, acting as the voice of the customer.
