About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth and market share in the Maryland market by securing new business and expanding key accounts. The representative will build and maintain strong customer relationships, serve as a liaison between customers, industry associations, and internal operations, and develop and execute territory strategies including pricing, forecasting, and competitive analysis. The position involves preparing bids, proposals, and contracts, and partnering with operations and quality teams to deliver technical support, ensure product performance, and promote safe, compliant practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to grow accounts, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable sales results in a complex market.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials or aggregate-based products and related market dynamics.
  • Prior sales experience in the industry strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer value.
  • Proficiency in using data, technology, and systems to inform decisions, track performance, and optimize sales outcomes.
  • Self-directed, collaborative professional who can manage a large territory and navigate technical, logistical, and customer challenges.
