This position is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and monitoring the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers, ensuring ample staff to meet location needs. The role involves preparing records and reports regarding the same. Key responsibilities include interviewing, recruiting, screening, and selecting bell ringing staff and volunteers to ensure all sites are covered effectively. The coordinator will plan, schedule, and assign work, instruct on proper methods, and check work for accuracy and compliance with Salvation Army policies. Maintaining contact with staff and volunteers, answering questions, and recognizing workers are also key duties. The role requires preparing and maintaining up-to-date records and databases for daily kettle income information, preparing reports on the kettle program's status, and providing staff and volunteers with documentation of hours worked. Additionally, the coordinator will plan, coordinate, and prepare special events, prepare recognition plaques and certificates, and maintain special event records. Meeting with community leaders and organizations to discuss Salvation Army needs and driving Salvation Army vehicles to deliver and collect kettles and supplies are also part of the role. Assisting with counting, recording, and depositing kettle funds is also required.
