About The Position

Rings bells for The Salvation Army Christmas Program at assigned locations. The role involves keeping the kettle attended, greeting members of the public courteously and following The Salvation Army’s ministry and Christian principles. Work is performed standing, often outdoors, with breaks and meal periods as required by state law. Duties may include brief or occasional periods of sitting or walking and limited lifting or carrying of light objects weighing less than 25 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to stand in one location for extended periods in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to perform the duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, protocol, and Christian principles.
• Ability to lift and carry light objects weighing less than 25 pounds, as required.

Responsibilities

• Ring bells for The Salvation Army Christmas Program at assigned locations.
• Ensure the kettle is never left unattended.
• Greet the public in a courteous and friendly manner.
