About The Position

Shady Acres Pet Ranch in Round Rock, Texas, is hiring experienced kennel technicians to work with pets in an engaging boarding-facility environment. Applicants must have prior paid professional experience as a Kennel Technician; those without that experience are asked to apply for a different position.

The role involves caring for dogs, maintaining kennels and the facility, and recording information about each pet’s care and behavior. The position offers 20–40 hours per week, with multiple shift options. Beginning pay is $15–$18 per hour depending on experience and contribution, with tips and performance bonuses also available.

Requirements

• Prior paid professional experience working as a Kennel Technician.
• Be responsible, punctual, and dependable; little or no absenteeism is extremely important.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Be a strong team player.
• Be an excellent communicator.
• Have a positive and energetic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide pets with tender loving care.
• Walk dogs outside.
• Clean kennels and kennel buildings.
• Feed, water, and medicate dogs.
• Bathe dogs.
• Record pet feeding, medication, elimination, and behavior.
• Scoop feces from inside and outside areas of the facility.
• Move animals between rooms and to and from play yards.
• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
