About The Position
At Gateway Pet Hospital, we are looking for a full-time Kennel Attendant who brings a genuine love for animals, a strong work ethic, and a compassionate approach to patient care. This role is hands-on and plays an important part in keeping patients comfortable, supporting the medical team, and ensuring the hospital runs smoothly. Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for hospitalized patients, including feeding, watering, grooming, exercising, and monitoring their well-being.
- Safely handle and restrain animals as appropriate.
- Observe patient behavior and promptly report concerns to the veterinary team.
- Administer non-controlled medications, supplements, or treatments as directed and permitted by hospital policy.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members in person, by phone, text, and email.
- Provide compassionate and courteous service that supports a positive client experience.
- Clean and maintain kennels, cages, exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital equipment.
- Assist with laundry, sanitation, stocking, inventory organization, and general hospital upkeep.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Follow hospital safety, infection-prevention, and OSHA protocols.
- Complete required training and maintain applicable certifications.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
