About The Position

Data Intellect is seeking a seasoned kdb+ developer to lead technical delivery on client projects for data-intensive financial institutions. The role involves designing and implementing robust kdb+ architectures capable of handling billions of rows of time-series data, and collaborating with quants, traders, and analysts to turn business needs into performant code. The developer will guide junior and mid-level colleagues, own development through testing, support, and maintenance of client application code, and keep current with kdb+, q, and related technologies.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on expertise in kdb+/q development and time-series data solutions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing kdb+ architectures and scaling kdb+ systems in production.
• Strong background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making on fast-paced projects.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
• Passion for clean, performant code and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, or other time-series databases.
• Exposure to tick data, real-time analytics, or electronic trading systems.
