About The Position

Constellation Schools is seeking a highly qualified K-4th Grade Teacher in Cleveland, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for students by bringing the curriculum to life, creating a positive classroom environment, and prioritizing student learning and social-emotional development. The position includes planning and delivering instruction, differentiating lessons, monitoring student progress, supporting classroom culture, communicating with families, and collaborating with colleagues. The teacher will use school-approved curricula and research-based practices and incorporate technology into daily classroom learning.

Requirements

Active and current State of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment involving frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to properly manage confidential information.
Ability to supervise students of various ages in settings such as playgrounds and cafeterias.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Experience working within an urban environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
Use research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
Manage student behavior in the classroom.
Create a positive classroom environment that supports student learning.
Use school-approved curricula that reflect students’ diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
Communicate and meet with families about their child’s academic and social-emotional growth.
Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning.
Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities as needed.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
