K-12 Tutor / Teacher
About The Position
Huntington Learning Center is seeking part-time educators for Fall 2023 to tutor students in grades K-12. Since 1977, Huntington has been a leader in the tutoring and test prep industry, known for its acclaimed instructional programs and dedicated professional teams. The center offers an opportunity for qualified, caring, and dedicated teaching professionals to work directly with students and help them achieve academic success. This role involves working with students in a 1 to 1 setting or in small groups of up to 4. There is no need to write lesson plans or grade homework. The position offers flexible, part-time hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with competitive hourly rates and paid training. Professional development opportunities are also available.
Requirements
- 4-year degree required.
- Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.
- All experience levels are welcome to apply - recent grads, current teachers, and retired professionals.
Nice To Haves
- Certification/license is a plus.
- Math skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work with students in a 1 to 1 setting or a small group of up to 4.
- Teach students in reading, writing, mathematics, study skills, and subject tutoring in math & science.
- Provide test preparation for high-stakes exams including the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and HSPT/HSEE.
