About The Position

Join Cross Country Education as a Special Education Teacher and provide resource support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve academic success throughout the 2026–2027 school year in Surprise, AZ. This role involves providing specialized instruction and academic support to high school students in resource classroom settings, adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs. The teacher will implement and monitor IEPs, accommodations, and individualized instructional strategies to support student progress and achievement. Collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams is essential, as is maintaining accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Arizona Special Education Certification required; alternative teaching certifications are not accepted
• Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Ability to obtain and maintain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification
