About The Position

The Junior Sous Chef is an integral leader in the culinary team and reports to the Restaurant Executive Chef. This position requires dynamic leadership, a passion for developing talent, a focus on establishing and maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence. In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of the kitchen, the Junior Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of menu items, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.

Requirements

  • Culinary degree or qualified experience
  • Previous experience of 3-5 years in leadership role in luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with other areas and positively engage with colleagues and guests
  • Strong time management skills and able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to use technology as needed for the job
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

  • Lead culinary teams to ensure superior quality and consistency in preparation of all food items.
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary team to innovate and refine dishes, ensuring that guests' expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Support creativity among culinary team members, and mentor the next generation of culinary talent.
