About The Position

Hotel Orielle, Autograph Collection, is a boutique luxury hotel in Savannah’s historic Riverfront district, featuring upscale dining and a service-driven hospitality culture. The Junior Sous Chef will work with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The role involves communicating with the Executive Chef about planning, staffing, and internal procedures; completing food requisitions and daily specials; and assisting with hiring, training, and coaching team members. The Junior Sous Chef also contributes to menu development, inventory management, kitchen cleanliness and organization, and ensuring dishes are prepared to a high standard.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
• Knowledge of a variety of culinary techniques and cuisines.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage inventory, including ordering and receiving products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• College degree or certification in a culinary or hospitality field.

Responsibilities
