About The Position

We are a team of around 250 football fanatics working from hubs in Berlin, London, and Lisbon. Our purpose is to disrupt the status quo and make football accessible and enjoyable. Football never stops, and neither do football fans. As a Junior Social Media Manager at OneFootball, you'll help bring the biggest stories, moments, and conversations in football to life across our social channels. From breaking news and matchdays to trends, culture, and fan debates, you'll create content that reaches millions of football fans worldwide on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Threads, and WhatsApp. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who lives and breathes football, loves social media, and wants to develop their skills in a fast-paced, global football media environment where creativity, speed, and great storytelling make all the difference.

Requirements

  • Passionate about football and knowledgeable about the global football landscape
  • 1–2 years of experience in social media, preferably within sports media, sports publishing, or a football-focused environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment where football news moves quickly
  • An excellent writer with strong English communication skills and the ability to create engaging content tailored to different social platforms.
  • Creative, proactive, and eager to learn and develop your social media expertise
  • Someone who takes ownership of their work, pays attention to detail, and isn't afraid to share ideas
  • Willing to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends around major football events
  • Familiar with Adobe Photoshop and comfortable creating or editing templated visual content.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of our social media channels, creating and publishing timely, platform-native content.
  • Create engaging social content and visual assets around football news, live matches, and major football moments
  • Monitor football conversations, social media trends, and fan culture to identify opportunities for reactive content
  • Contribute ideas that turn football stories, trends, and fan moments into engaging content for our audience
  • Help grow and engage our global football community across social platforms
  • Ensure content is accurate, follows editorial standards, and aligns with our brand guidelines
