This role involves the derivation of automated tests from business requirements, implementation of Gherkin specifications with Cucumber, and the development and enhancement of test automation for backend, API, and end-to-end testing. The position also includes end-to-end testing with Playwright, integration of tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reproducible test environments, and collaboration with backend, full-stack, and DevOps engineers, participating in their Spec-Driven methodology.

Requirements

1–3 years in software development or test automation (junior level)
Basic knowledge of Java or Spring Boot
Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber
Experience with Playwright or comparable UI automation
Understanding of API testing
Methodical thinking
Personal responsibility and team spirit
Interest in CI/CD and DevOps
German C1 language proficiency

Nice To Haves

Kubernetes basics
GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux)
CI/CD (e.g. Tekton)
Understanding of observability

Responsibilities

Derivation of automated tests from business requirements
