This role involves the derivation of automated tests from business requirements, implementation of Gherkin specifications with Cucumber, and the development and enhancement of test automation for backend, API, and end-to-end testing. The position also includes end-to-end testing with Playwright, integration of tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reproducible test environments, and collaboration with backend, full-stack, and DevOps engineers, participating in their Spec-Driven methodology.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years in software development or test automation (junior level)
  • Basic knowledge of Java or Spring Boot
  • Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber
  • Experience with Playwright or comparable UI automation
  • Understanding of API testing
  • Methodical thinking
  • Personal responsibility and team spirit
  • Interest in CI/CD and DevOps
  • German C1 language proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Kubernetes basics
  • GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux)
  • CI/CD (e.g. Tekton)
  • Understanding of observability
