About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Junior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Electromagnetic Effects Division (B50). This role involves performing RF Test, Evaluation, Integration, and configuration evaluations of US Navy warfare systems. The engineer will also be responsible for Environmental Electromagnetic Effects (E3) Computation and RF Modeling and Simulation, as well as performing analyses of Electronic Warfare (EW), communication, and radar systems. Key activities include developing detailed test plans, participating in test planning meetings and test readiness reviews, performing RF / E3 testing, gathering, reducing/post-processing, and analyzing resulting data, preparing and publishing detailed test reports, reviewing technical documentation, and contributing to technical meeting support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering.
  • One (1) year of experience in theoretical and practical aspects of RF / microwave system test and evaluation.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python or RF modeling/simulation software applications.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, etc.).
  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical Engineering degree with focus on RF / microwave / antenna engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following specific areas: RF Engineering and analysis; E3 Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) / Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC); RF Computation and simulation.
