About The Position

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Junior RF Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members at NIWC PAC – Seaside in the Point Loma area of San Diego, CA. This program is a multiyear effort to enhance a Fleet electronic warfare system. Perform RF system architecting, testing and development of RF systems. Develop project test plans and test procedures, provide test planning support and assist in the execution of both lab testing and field testing. Designing systems that adhere to IEEE and IEC high-voltage safety standards. Provide occasional technical support and/or field support planning and other field support in general if needed.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance preferred or ability to obtain one will be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience programming using JAVA, Python, MATLAB or C++.
  • Experience in conducting advanced digital signal processing, analyzing active and passive filter designs using Simulink, MATLAB, and real-world testing.
  • Experience in signal processing theory and/or communications systems and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in resolving real world problems.
  • Experience with antenna set up for multiple channels and frequencies.
  • Experience with Oscilloscopes (analog and digital).
  • Experience with Multi-meters.
  • Experience with Electronic frequency counters.
  • Experience with Logic probes.
  • Experience with High-precision multi-meters.
  • Experience with AC/DC voltage standards.
  • Experience with RF power meters.
  • Experience with Resistance standards signal generators.
  • Experience with Power supplies.
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience with using SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Capable of working independently or in teams based on customer/project’s needs.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal skills.
  • Successfully obtaining a security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
