This position is responsible for designing microwave filters that meet customer specifications. The role involves evaluating RFQs, interfacing with sales for feasibility and pricing, completing analysis of packages, and outlining strategies for completion. It also includes participating in onsite visits and product discussions with customers, which may involve travel to an overseas facility in the Dominican Republic. The engineer will evaluate orders (new, similar, repeat, or modification), analyze filter response using RF Design Simulation Software, and support manufacturing areas in resolving engineering-related production issues. Additionally, the role entails assigning appropriate personnel to process mechanical designs, providing sketches, parts lists, and critical dimensions, and coordinating with digital and applications engineers. The engineer will also check for accuracy of prints and BOM, oversee prototyping of filters, provide support in answering inquiries, read and interpret drawings and customer specifications, and research and develop special projects for customers.
