About The Position

Cherokee Federal’s Intelligence Division is seeking a Junior Recruiter to provide administrative support to the recruiting team. The Junior Recruiter assists with job postings, audits, recordkeeping, reporting, and tracking recruiting efforts.

Requirements

  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience in an administrative assistant, recruiting, or related support role.
  • Ability to work in a fully remote environment and coordinate projects digitally
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong time management skills required.
  • Proficiency with computers, common office equipment, and Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel and Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must meet pre-employment qualification requirements of Cherokee Federal.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Secret Security Clearance preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to support an East Coast time zone schedule preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports recruiting efforts, including job posting setup, requisition maintenance, recruiting system audits, and validation of information, as well as document and resource creation.
  • Assists with candidate-related administrative tasks to support the development of qualified talent pipelines.
  • Directs incoming applications to assigned Recruiter to assist in Candidate Process.
  • May reach out directly to candidates (via email and phone) to confirm interest, availability, basic qualifications, and communicate next steps.
  • Supports the coordination and scheduling of phone screens, interviews, and associated logistics (calendar invitations, candidate instructions, and interview confirmations).
  • Prepares and maintains requisition documentation and recruiting trackers; monitors aging requisitions and communicates status updates to recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Assists with the administration of pre-employment screening processes (e.g., background checks, reference checks, drug screenings, and education verification) in accordance with established procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Audits candidate files and onboarding documentation to ensure completeness and proper storage prior to start date.
  • Maintains and audits data integrity within the ATS, including job postings, candidate status/disposition, contact notes, interview outcomes, and offer documentation, as directed.
  • Supports recruitment initiatives and special projects.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of recruiting best practices, candidate experience standards, and applicable employment guidelines relevant to assigned responsibilities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
