Requirements

  • LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Approximately 1–3 years of experience practicing real estate law
  • Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Professional, client-focused, and eager to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to residential real estate transactions is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist with residential and commercial real estate transactions
  • Review Agreements of Purchase and Sale and supporting documentation
  • Draft and prepare closing documents, title documents, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research related to real estate matters and applicable regulations
  • Communicate with clients, lenders, brokers, and other legal professionals throughout the transaction process
  • Provide clients with clear and professional legal guidance and support
  • Maintain accurate and organized file management practices
  • Work collaboratively with lawyers, clerks, and administrative staff to ensure efficient file progression and successful closings
