About The Position

These opportunities are focused on commercial real estate finance, lending, acquisitions, development, real estate transactions, joint ventures, and sophisticated real estate deal work. Candidates must have relevant experience, be comfortable drafting and negotiating transaction documents, possess strong attention to detail and client-service skills, have relevant bar admission or eligibility, and be interested in deal-focused real estate work. These roles are not suitable for litigation-only attorneys, residential real estate candidates without commercial experience, candidates without transactional drafting experience, or attorneys not interested in finance or deal documentation. We are speaking with attorneys and legal professionals for select opportunities involving commercial real estate finance, lending, acquisitions, development, real estate transactions, joint ventures, and sophisticated real estate deal work. These roles are grouped because the same candidate audience could reasonably match more than one opening in this tile.

Requirements

  • Real estate finance, commercial real estate, lending, development, or transactional real estate experience
  • Comfortable drafting and negotiating transaction documents
  • Strong attention to detail and client-service skills
  • Relevant bar admission or eligibility
  • Interested in deal-focused real estate work
  • 4+ years lender-side commercial real estate finance
  • $100M+ construction and mezzanine loans
  • 4+ years borrower-side commercial real estate transactional law
  • 1-3 years post-bar real estate transactions or real estate finance
  • Institutional-scale deals
  • 4th-6th year real estate associate
  • Real estate transactions or finance

Responsibilities

  • Independently running deals
  • Complex commercial real estate lending from inception to closing
  • Loan document drafting/negotiation
  • Client-facing work for sophisticated private lenders
  • Autonomous deal management from start to finish
  • Acquisitions, dispositions, purchase and sale transactions, joint ventures, development deals, financing transactions
  • Drafting PSAs, JV agreements, loan documents, and related transactional documentation
  • Drafting PSAs, loan documents, mortgages, JV agreements
  • Diligence, checklists, closings, client/opposing counsel calls
  • Running deals day-to-day
  • Negotiating with opposing counsel
  • Supervising juniors
