About The Position

The firm’s work is distinguished by a unique combination of precision and vision. Based in Los Angeles, the Junior Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for supporting attorneys and senior paralegal staff in all phases of real estate transactions, including the finalizing of documents for closing, maintaining closing checklists and preparation of signature page packets, and attending to post-closing matters such as distributing original documents and preparing closing binders.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) or legal technology platforms strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Working on deal closings relating to the mortgage financing, mezzanine financing, acquisition and sale of national commercial real estate projects.
  • Maintaining closing checklists, preparing UCC financing statements, escrow instruction letters, loan assignment and termination documents and other ancillary documents.
  • Preparing signature page packets, inventory signature pages and assembling final documentation for closing.
  • Coordinating UCC, tax lien, judgment, litigation, and bankruptcy searches and preparing summaries of results.
  • Attending to post-closing matters including the distribution of original documents, preparation of closing binders and follow-up of recorded documents, title policies and other post-closing items.
  • Forming corporate entities and preparing operating documentation, consents and certificates.
  • Applying for employee identification numbers.
  • Preparing transfer forms on ACRIS.
  • Coordinating with external vendors.
