About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Junior Purchaser / Expeditor / Material Planner to join our Edmonton-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to build their career within the heavy industrial and municipal markets. You will play a key role in ensuring that materials and products are sourced efficiently, shipments are tracked, and records are maintained accurately. If you're a team player with strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a drive to get things done, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with Incoterms.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with ERP software systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with international sourcing and purchasing – highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase products from domestic (Canada) and international suppliers represented by Centrix Control Solutions.
  • Ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of goods.
  • Track and expedite manufacturing progress and shipping timelines with vendors, both domestic and international.
  • Respond promptly to sales teams and customers regarding order updates or when expediting is required.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records: purchase orders, warranty claims, waybills, PO receipts, Domestic and International.
  • Process and track warranty claims with domestic and international vendors.
  • Produce commercial invoices for international shipments
  • Process documentation when required to ship products.
  • Manage import/export documentation and maintain good relationships with customs brokers and freight companies.
  • Approve invoices for processing.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and logistics providers to coordinate and communicate order status and resolution of any issues.
