This position exists to support the Director of Labour Force Policy and Strategy and the broader Workforce Strategies Division in delivering complex, cross-ministry labour market policy work. The analyst provides research, coordination, and analytical support for the Labour Market Transfer Agreement (LMTA) system planning process and related policy initiatives, assisting the Director of Executive Operations in the Chief Operating Officer’s (COO) Office and senior policy leads in executing high-priority deliverables.

Requirements

University graduation in Arts, Public Administration or other related field, no experience required.
Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.
Strong research and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources.
Excellent written communication skills; ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-structured briefing notes, memos, and correspondence.
Organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated interest in and understanding of public policy.
Proficiency with standard office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

Support the annual LMTA planning process across multiple ministries by coordinating deliverables, maintaining planning and tracking tools, and supporting cross-ministry meetings and follow-up activities.
Assist with monitoring project milestones and advancing key initiatives, including tariff-related deliverables.
Provide research and analytical support for grant assessment frameworks, including data collection, grant prioritization, reporting tools, and briefing materials to support decision-making by senior officials.
Analyze and summarize information from multiple sources and assist in preparing policy documents, briefing materials, correspondence, and presentations for senior leadership.
Support coordination between program areas and executive offices by managing information flow, preparing correspondence and meeting summaries, tracking commitments, and providing accurate meeting notes to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and follow-through.
Support development of analytical frameworks, reporting tools, and dashboards, while preparing progress reports and data summaries to monitor LMTA programs and strategic priorities.
Contribute to quality assurance through document review and proofreading and support portfolio management within Workforce Strategies and COO-led initiatives.
