About The Position

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Junior Planner 2 with an instrumentation and controls and/or electrical background to support project and outage execution at the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant. The position supports work package development, schedule readiness, field coordination, and execution planning within the client’s organization. The planner works with project managers, schedulers, construction leaders, engineers, test personnel, and station stakeholders to develop practical, field-ready plans. This is an early-career opportunity to build planning experience in a nuclear environment while supporting plant work. The role supports online and outage work involving baseline work, modifications, corrective actions, and outage scope, with emphasis on I&C and electrical activities. It includes field walkdowns, work package preparation and review, material coordination, schedule input, execution readiness, and coordination across work management, supply, operations, engineering, and other station teams. The planner must follow station procedures, quality requirements, configuration control expectations, and owner-directed execution practices. Employees may use data, automation, artificial intelligence, and other digital tools where relevant to the role. Employees remain accountable for their work and are expected to apply professional judgment and review when using technology-assisted tools. Relevant experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies is valued but is not required unless specified elsewhere. The position is with Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group, which supports nuclear engineering, design, licensing, plant life extensions, digital modernization, advanced reactor technology, reactor restarts, and new-build projects. The role requires on-site work at D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant. The employer does not sponsor U.S. work authorization for this position.
