About The Position

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Nuclear Planner Senior for a one-year W-2 contract assignment in Palo, Iowa. The role develops work orders and preventive maintenance plans for implementation, working with station personnel to identify, create, and order parts for repair and replacement activities. It plans work packages across disciplines, including mechanical, civil, instrumentation and control, and electrical, and defines the work standards used for those activities. Openings include one onsite mechanical maintenance planner position requiring welding skills and one onsite Instrument and Control planner position. The mechanical maintenance work may require knowledge of GTAW/TIG, SMAW/stick, and orbital welding methods. The position also provides guidance to junior system planners and requires developing detailed work packages, including weld data sheets in accordance with applicable ASME codes and NextEra procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 7 years of experience.
At least 7 years of nuclear experience.
Experience using NAMS software.
For the mechanical maintenance opening, welding skills are needed; the posting describes GTAW/TIG, SMAW/stick, and orbital welding.

Responsibilities

Identify and analyze work-order tasks needed to implement preventive maintenance, modification, corrective, and surveillance activities.
Develop work standards to support work packages.
Provide guidance to junior system planners in developing detailed elements of overall packages.
Create work packages for all disciplines, including mechanical, civil, instrumentation and control, and electrical.
Generate weld data sheets in accordance with applicable ASME codes and NextEra procedural requirements.
Work with station personnel to identify, create, and order parts for repair and replacement activities.
