About The Position

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Junior Planner 3 with a mechanical or valve-maintenance background to support project and outage execution at the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant. The role supports work package development, schedule readiness, field coordination, and execution planning within the client’s organization. The planner works with project managers, schedulers, construction leaders, engineers, test personnel, and station stakeholders to turn planned activities into practical, field-ready plans. It is an early-career opportunity to develop planning experience in a nuclear environment while supporting plant work. The role supports baseline work, modifications, corrective actions, and outage scope, with emphasis on mechanical and valve-related activities. It includes online and outage planning, work package assembly, task sequencing, schedule input, readiness reviews, field walk-downs, material coordination, and execution support. The planner helps verify scope, resource assumptions, constraints, prerequisites, and compliance with station procedures, quality requirements, configuration control, and owner-directed execution practices. The position is site-based at D.C. Cook and requires the ability to obtain and maintain nuclear site access. Sargent & Lundy says it does not sponsor employees for U.S. work authorization for this position. Compensation is listed as $74,353–$113,595. Eligible positions may include a yearly discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
