About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Paralegal to support our in-house legal team. The primary focus of this role is drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely execution under the guidance of attorneys and the Paralegal Team Lead. In addition to contract management, this role supports core paralegal functions including legal research, maintaining organized legal records and workflows, and administrative coordination. The Junior Paralegal will assist with tracking legal requests, proofreading documents, and supporting day-to-day operations of the legal department. This position will also contribute to special projects and regulatory compliance efforts, with growing involvement in data privacy and information security initiatives. This includes supporting documentation, tracking requirements, and helping the organization meet evolving legal and certification obligations. We are seeking candidates that are located within 50-miles of our office in Morrisville, N.C. as this position starts with an on-site training period of approximately 6-8 weeks. After successful completion of training, this role will have the opportunity to transition to a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or in progress to achieve paralegal certificate.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years as a legal assistant, paralegal, or other legal-related position.
  • North Carolina Paralegal Certification or in progress to achieve.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Critical thinking, operating with integrity, highly detail oriented.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, and/or CRM databases.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing, organizing, and communicating any incoming external questions to legal leadership.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals within the organization.
  • Assist legal team with internal audits and reviews.
  • Provide a range of daily administrative support to the In-House Counsel and business managers.
  • Perform legal research and analysis, prepare summaries or briefing materials as needed.
  • Support internal audits, legal reviews, and due diligence efforts.
  • May support special projects related to legal compliance, data privacy, or other initiatives as needed.
  • Draft, review, and manage a variety of commercial contracts including NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
  • Coordinate contract workflows, approvals, and execution.
  • Send, track, and organize agreements throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Ensure agreements are accurate, consistent, and aligned with approved legal and business terms.
  • Follow up with customers to confirm contractual details such as entity information, addresses, signatories, and commercial terms.
  • Maintain and update the contract management system, ensuring accurate records and timely renewals.
  • Assist with legal review workflows and coordinate approvals across departments.
  • Support compliance initiatives and ensure contracts align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and resolve contract-related issues.
  • Prepare reports and summaries on contract status, obligations, and risks.
  • Help develop and maintain templates, playbooks, and process documentation.
  • Assist with due diligence and documentation for corporate transactions or audits.
