This is a position for a motivated and community-minded individual. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping applicants achieve homeownership, promoting financial literacy, and building meaningful relationships with underserved communities. In this role, you will work closely with the Mortgage Loan Officer to support the mortgage application process from start to finish. Responsibilities will include preparing files for processing and initial review, entering loan information into the Loan Origination System, gathering and uploading borrower documentation, coordinating third-party vendor requests such as appraisals, and maintaining organized electronic files. You will also communicate directly with customers to ensure a smooth and supportive experience throughout the lending process. In addition, assist with Home Equity Line of Credit applications for both the MLO and the HELOC group, and, if bilingual, provide translation support within branch operations to better serve our diverse customer base. Beyond the technical aspects of the role, community involvement is a vital part of this position. You will be expected to actively engage with local organizations that promote homeownership among low- to moderate-income borrowers, represent the bank in outreach efforts, and help expand access to responsible financial practices. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, with Spanish and English strongly preferred, and will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills. A commitment to educating borrowers about mortgage options, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine passion for community engagement are essential qualities for success in this role.
