About The Position

Parsons is looking for a Junior IT Support Assistant to join our growing team! This is a flexible, on-call position providing targeted technical support for network and system administration role. This position requires an understanding of both PAI and OSINT virtual tradecraft IT requirements as well as an understanding of Managed Attribution Systems (MAS) as well as the processes associated with the use of MAS in RML2 operations. The IT Support Assistant ensures the reliability of end-user devices, office infrastructure, and communication tools. This role is ideal for a junior professional capable of jumping into various technical environments to troubleshoot hardware, manage mobile devices, and support specialized software configurations on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or junior systems administration within a personal, academic or work related environment
  • Experience trouble-shooting hardware/software
  • Eagerness to learn and work with a fast-paced team
  • Cyber Advanced Support Operations Course (CASO), Commercial Signature Reduction Level 1 (CSR1), Commercial Signature Reduction Level 2 (CSR2), Virtual Operations Tradecraft Course (VOTC)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in IT, Network Systems, or a related field
  • Proficiency in terminating and testing data cabling.
  • Familiarity with virtual machines and cloud-based environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple OS platforms (Windows, Linux, Android, iOS).

Responsibilities

  • Respond to service requests for hardware malfunctions on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Assist with account maintenance, Active Directory updates, and the installation of OS patches and software upgrades.
  • Provision and activate mobile devices (iOS/Android). Support MDM enrollment and troubleshoot wireless carrier services (data tethering, SMS/MMS, and hotspots).
  • Assist in the installation, relocation, and cabling of servers, switches, and rack-mount consoles following organization standards.
  • Set up and debug audiovisual equipment for meetings, including displays, microphones, and soundboards.
  • Mobile Training Team (MTT) network and training packaging of gear setup as well as reimaging and standby support for trainers.
  • Perform routine system backups and assist in recovery procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment upgrades, asset inventory, and system anomalies.
