At Orthodontic Experts Management, the Jr IT Manager is responsible for providing daily IT operations support, IT project management, asset management, documentation, procurement, provisioning, and additional assistance as assigned. This staff-level position is designed with a growth path towards managerial responsibilities for an independent analytical individual that demonstrates a powerful sense of initiative.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree and 3 years of proven direct experience in IT operations, dev-ops, or support.
  • Exceptional documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate level Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • CAPM with IT specialization.
  • Proven success leading the delivery of complex IT projects into production environment. This may include, and is not limited to applications, IT procedures, infrastructure upgrades, hardware deployment, network configuration, security, training, and cloud migrations.
  • Effective direct technical expertise with IT infrastructure, application support/development, and cloud technologies.
  • Travel is required to local and out-of-state locations. Valid driver’s license required.
  • Can work independently and demonstrate powerful sense of initiative
  • Provide direct support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and project tasks.
  • Provide backup duties for dispatching, schedule coordination, and OEM IT support queue management.
  • Enforce policies and procedures, standards adherence, and exception handling.
  • Meet or exceed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Participate in meetings as required.
  • Provide onsite and remote IT assistance and testing for new construction, build outs, and acquisitions.
  • Image computers by OEM specifications.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining full project documentation, including those of an IT MSP, on our GRC platform.
  • Responsible for the delivery of a runbook at the end of every project that has been tested for quality assurance and has been signed off on by the project owner.
  • Create and maintain technical documents, including runbooks.
  • Participate in annual audit of runbooks.
  • Work with supervisor to manage the OEM IT side of assigned IT projects in collaboration with IT MSP and other external parties.
  • Work with supervisor to gather and analyze requirements, develop/coordinate work plans, schedules, resource plans, risk identification, and mitigation plans.
  • Once project plan is approved, capture all project information in GRC platform.
  • Organize meetings, create agendas and minutes, meet with stakeholders to address project goals, identify internal resources needed, and create project plans for submission, approval, and execution.
  • Set and track milestones, account for delays, including setting new expectations as required.
  • Adhere to budget, schedule, scope of project work, and escalate issues timely.
  • Manage internal project resources and coordinate with external project managers to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Drive project commitments with a clear chain of accountability. Ensure on-time completion.
  • Prepare project status reports, identifying potential roadblocks and intervention needed.
  • Provide training, create training materials, and other information as warranted for project hand-off to production environment.
  • Assist with researching vendors to negotiate best pricing for IT asset procurement and licensing.
  • Work with supervisor and IT MSP to ensure that products to be purchased are consistent with existing OEM technology platform, security stack, and industry standards.
  • Review invoices against orders received in a timely manner, following policies and procedures for processing.
  • Ensure a timely and accurate exchange of goods and services by maintaining an accurate inventory of OEM IT assets and software licensing via GRC platform
