About The Position

Middletown Christian Schools is looking for a Junior High Golf Head coach who embraces our vision, mission, and core values. We are a ministry of Grace Baptist Church and seek to be a Christ-centered educational institution that teaches from a biblical worldview. A person who seeks this position should be one who is convinced that God has called him/her to the ministry of coaching in a Christian school. Must have a personal relationship with God, including the maintaining of personal devotions and Bible study. He/she must follow the leadership standards of Grace Baptist Church.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Ohio pupil activity permit (may be obtained after hire).
• Acceptable BCI and FBI report.
• Must have a personal relationship with God, including the maintaining of personal devotions and Bible study.
• Must follow the leadership standards of Grace Baptist Church.
• Should have complete knowledge of the sport
• The ability to teach fundamentals, skills, rules, and regulations of the sport
• Be able to organize, plan, and execute practice sessions
• Demonstrates strong leadership in sportsmanship, integrity, and character development
• Detail orientated
• Have the desire and ability to establish rapport with student athletes and their families
• Must be familiar with all safety regulations (i.e. Lindsay’s Law)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for issuing, maintaining, and collecting of equipment
• Supervision of student athletes
• Travels to games and practices
• Occasional operation of your own vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items athletic/sport/gym related materials or equipment. e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment, ball carts, floor mats.
