About The Position

This role is an opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, manufacturing, warehouse operations, landscaping, military service, or any hands-on trade to transition into a professional office-based construction career. No prior estimating experience is necessary. The company is seeking motivated individuals with mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and a desire to learn. Trainees will work with experienced estimators and project managers to learn the process of bidding, pricing, and managing commercial construction projects.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of work experience in any construction, trade, maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse, military, or mechanical environment
• Strong attendance and work ethic
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Mechanical aptitude and curiosity
• Ability to stay organized and follow through on tasks
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Stable work history and strong references

Nice To Haves

• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, military technical roles, or mechanical trades

Responsibilities

• Read construction drawings and project plans
• Measure and calculate material quantities
• Assist with project estimates and bid preparation
• Work with vendors and suppliers to gather pricing
• Learn how mechanical systems are installed in commercial buildings
