About The Position

Dynamis is seeking a Junior Editor to support exercise documentation development and deliverable production for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Exercises Subdivision, Infrastructure Security Exercise Branch (ISEB). Dynamis provides full-spectrum exercise support to CISA Exercises in accordance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidelines. The work supports discussion- and operations-based exercises addressing all-hazards threat scenarios for critical infrastructure owners and operators.

The Infrastructure Security Exercise Support Services contract focuses on conducting exercises to test and validate plans and capabilities against physical security and natural hazard threats to critical infrastructure. Dynamis also supports exercises demonstrating the interplay of cybersecurity and physical security as they relate to critical infrastructure, as well as the National Cyber Exercise Program (NCEP). The position is based at Dynamis headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, and client offices in Arlington, Virginia.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain client suitability.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or Journalism; four years of experience in a similar capacity may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Located within 50 miles of Arlington, Virginia.

Nice To Haves

• DHS/CISA suitability.
• Technical writing and editing experience.
• Knowledge of HSEEP and/or exercises.
• Knowledge of the CISA mission and organization.

Responsibilities

• Check written material for errors in grammar, spelling, usage, and style.
• Ensure written text is concise, consistent, grammatically and factually correct, easy to read, and organized so concepts are expressed in a logical, sequential manner.
• Apply knowledge of English language structure and content, including word meanings and spelling, composition, and grammar.
• Ensure work products adhere to the CISA style guide or the standard determined by the Government.
