About The Position

Dynamis is seeking a Junior Editor to support exercise documentation development and deliverable production for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Exercises Subdivision, Infrastructure Security Exercise Branch (ISEB). Dynamis provides full-spectrum exercise support services to CISA Exercises in accordance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidelines for discussion- and operations-based exercises addressing all-hazards threat scenarios for critical infrastructure owners and operators. The work focuses on exercises that test and validate plans and capabilities against physical security and natural hazard threats to critical infrastructure. Dynamis also supports exercises demonstrating the interplay of cybersecurity and physical security as they relate to critical infrastructure, as well as the National Cyber Exercise Program (NCEP).

The role is based at Dynamis headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, and client offices in Arlington, Virginia. The Junior Editor reviews written material for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to the CISA style guide or another standard determined by the Government.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain client suitability.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or Journalism; in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, four years of experience in a similar capacity may be accepted.
• Located within 50 miles of Arlington, Virginia.
• Knowledge of English-language structure and content, including word meanings and spelling, composition, and grammar.

Nice To Haves

• DHS/CISA suitability.
• Technical writing and editing experience.
• Knowledge of HSEEP and/or exercises.
• Knowledge of the CISA mission and organization.

Responsibilities

• Check written material for errors in grammar, spelling, usage, and style.
• Ensure written text is concise, consistent, grammatically and factually correct, and easy to read.
• Ensure concepts are expressed in a logical, sequential manner.
• Ensure work product adheres to the CISA style guide or another standard determined by the Government.
