About The Position

Jain Global is seeking a Compliance Technology Junior Developer to support the firm’s global compliance function by developing technology solutions that help meet regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Working with senior engineers and the Legal & Compliance team, the developer will help build and maintain tools for trade compliance, monitoring, surveillance, and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience, including exposure to committing code to production environments.
• Proficiency in Python for software development.
• A strong foundation in React, TypeScript, REST APIs, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS RDS, Postgres or MySQL, Git, and modern development workflows.
• Experience or willingness to participate in on-call rotations for critical systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A curious mindset and willingness to learn quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on trading platforms and with order and execution data.
• Exposure to AWS or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Docker or CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data feeds for employee profiles, communication surveillance, and trading activity, ensuring accurate and timely capture in key compliance systems.
• Maintain critical compliance alerts that support regulatory obligations and effective escalation and auditability of potential compliance issues.
• Contribute to a compliance restrictions system that enables firmwide trading.
• Help standardize trade and order data across trading systems and contribute to data enrichment and integrations that streamline regulatory reporting and support accurate, timely trade surveillance.
• Work with senior developers and Compliance stakeholders to translate policies and regulatory rules into technical workflows and controls.
