About The Position

Accenture Federal Services is hiring a Junior Software Developer to support software development and DevOps initiatives for US federal government clients. The role involves developing and supporting infrastructure and configuration automation, container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, testing scripts, and software integrations. The developer will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions and participate in code reviews and team learning.

Requirements

• Experience in software development with exposure to at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code scripting.
• Familiarity with AI tools for code generation, review, testing, and automation.
• US citizenship.
• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of the Azure cloud platform and API integrations.
• Familiarity with Docker or CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux administration.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Infrastructure as Code scripts using tools such as Terraform or Azure IaC (Bicep and ARM templates).
• Implement and manage Configuration as Code, such as Ansible.
• Create custom scripts in PowerShell or Bash.
• Manage containers and orchestration frameworks, including Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Helm.
• Create and manage virtual images using Docker or Packer.
• Implement and support Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Perform basic version control tasks in GitHub or GitLab, such as cloning repositories, committing code, and creating pull requests.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to support team learning and maintain code quality.
• Create and support automated test scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in designing and implementing code for seamless system integration.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.
