About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join a three-developer team enhancing the Tracking Repository for Incoming Orders application. The role involves developing and maintaining application features, resolving user issues and bugs, improving performance, and creating monitoring tools to detect potential problems before they cause outages. The developer will also manage Docker containers to support efficient deployment, scaling, and development; diagnose issues across code, infrastructure, and data; and apply data security and integrity best practices. The position involves working in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment, participating in sprint planning and stand-up meetings, and adapting to changing requirements and priorities. The technology stack includes Python, Docker, Django, AWS, Java, JavaScript, and VueJS.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope (FS) Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three years of software development or engineering experience, or seven years of software development or engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience working with front-end technologies, including JavaScript.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience managing the full software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Experience with Java, Django, or VueJS.
• Experience managing systems in a virtual hosting environment, including AWS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience using Docker for containerization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD.
• Experience with Vuetify.
• Experience with Vite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of three developers to enhance the Tracking Repository for Incoming Orders application.
• Write code, develop features, and maintain the application.
• Address user issues, fix bugs, and improve system performance.
• Develop and implement monitoring tools and systems to identify potential issues before they cause outages.
• Manage and update Docker containers to support efficient application deployment and scaling and streamline development.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving code, infrastructure, or data.
• Implement data security and integrity best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
• Participate in Agile practices, including sprint planning and stand-up meetings, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
