About The Position

WSP is seeking a Junior Data Analyst for its Newark, New Jersey office. The role supports projects and pursuits with the Technology Team and contributes to an organization focused on meeting client objectives and solving client challenges. The analyst assists with business intelligence dashboards, standard reports, technical work, and work scheduling. The position also involves developing technical skills, pursuing professional development, collaborating across disciplines, and seeking guidance from experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 0–1 years of related experience.
• Basic experience in a professional discipline.
• Strong system analysis skills, including interpreting and explaining data, conditions, and trends.
• Quality performance with programs and applications.
• Ability to learn and grow to produce high-quality technical and professional deliverables.
• Commitment to keeping technical knowledge of current practices up to date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering business intelligence dashboards for projects and pursuits.
• Assist in preparing standard reports and technical work.
• Assist in developing schedules and objectives for assigned work.
• Use report-writing software, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI, to develop reports.
• Pursue professional development and training.
• Develop technical skills and knowledge to work independently.
• Work as a team member in multidisciplinary teams.
• Seek mentorship and guidance in solving technical problems.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and participate in industry groups.
• Coordinate projects with other disciplines.
