Junior Copywriter

Sonos•New York, NY

About The Position

Sonos is seeking an early-career writer to join BPM (Bureau of Psychoacoustic Messaging), its in-house creative team. The role involves collaborating with writers, designers, and other creatives to develop ideas and create work across campaigns, social media, product launches, retail, CRM, and other channels. The Junior Copywriter will help translate creative concepts into clear, engaging work that reflects the Sonos voice, including finding human ways to communicate about products and technology. The position offers opportunities to learn from senior creatives, develop writing craft, and grow as a creative partner through frequent feedback and iteration. The team values curiosity, ideas, collaboration, cultural awareness, and a willingness to experiment and learn new tools, including AI.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of copywriting or creative experience; agency, in-house, freelance, internship, or other relevant experience counts.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates the candidate’s work.

  • Curiosity about music, culture, design, technology, advertising, and current events.
  • Interest in making things, not just discussing them.
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
  • Ability to work through problems, try different approaches, and persist when the first answer is not right.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and ways of working, including AI.
