About The Position
Entry-level Contract Specialist providing administrative and technical acquisition support for VA contracting actions. Works under close supervision and supports mid-level and senior specialists.
Requirements
- 0–2 years federal contracting experience; VA experience preferred.
- Familiarity with FAR and VAAR structure; willingness to learn VA procurement processes.
- Strong administrative and documentation skills.
- DAWIA/FAC-C Level I (or ability to obtain).
Responsibilities
- Assist with acquisition planning, market research, and documentation preparation using VA templates.
- Draft basic components of PWS/SOW, IGCE inputs, and solicitation packages.
- Support evaluation activities: tracking submissions, organizing documentation, preparing templates.
- Assist with post-award actions: modifications, funding documents, performance tracking, and closeout.
- Maintain compliance with FAR, VAAR, VHA PM, and PWS requirements.
