About The Position

The Junior Authentication Specialist is an entry-level role on GOAT’s Operations team, which manages worldwide distribution, product authentication, order fulfillment, and on-time delivery. The role supports the authentication of sneakers and apparel across major brands, including consignment and resale products. It also involves identifying manufacturer defects, assessing wear, and checking SKU and size to help ensure buyers receive the expected retail experience. The specialist keeps current with industry trends, releases, and collaborations, and learns about new sneaker models and brands. This position is full-time and may require extended hours, including weekends and holidays, during periods of increased business need.

Requirements

Passion for sneakers and streetwear, technology, and helping others succeed.
Knowledge of sneakers and apparel across brands, including original releases and re-releases.
Ability to recognize current industry trends.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, work autonomously, and handle increasing responsibility.
Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.
Availability and willingness to work extended hours when occasionally needed, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Assist Senior Authentication Specialists in verifying footwear and apparel.
Receive and arrange inbound inventory by brand, model, and other relevant categories.
Enter detailed notes and accurate product data into the GOAT Group database, including release information, product SKUs, and production dates.
Research and learn about new sneaker models and brands.
Stay current with the authentication process through training and self-directed learning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Inspect products for authenticity, manufacturer defects, wear, SKU, and size.
