About The Position

Pindrop is hiring a Software Engineer for its Authentication team. The role helps build and operate the cloud services and infrastructure behind Passport as the platform migrates to the cloud. The engineer contributes to systems designed to be reliable, scalable, performant, and secure, working with experienced engineers and cross-functional partners. This is an individual-contributor position with ownership of well-defined projects and services, participation in technical decisions, and opportunities to develop expertise in cloud-native architecture and authentication systems. The role involves designing, building, testing, and maintaining services and workflows for Passport and Authentication, primarily using Go and Python. It includes developing and operating cloud-native services across AWS and GCP, contributing to projects from design through rollout and operational support, reviewing code and designs, investigating production issues, and improving service quality and operational practices. The engineer collaborates with software, test, research, and product teams and participates in an on-call rotation, including helping cover after-hours alerts as distributed support coverage expands.
