About The Position

Enthusiast Auto Holdings (EAH) is a successful e-commerce company in the automotive aftermarket parts industry, operating through ten enthusiast-focused websites. EAH serves automotive enthusiasts and specialty installer shops globally, providing parts, content, knowledge, and support. The company is owned by Cortec Group, a private equity firm that has invested significantly in EAH's operations, facilities, technology, and leadership. EAH is currently implementing enterprise-level ERP/WMS/OMS systems and has recently completed a significant facility expansion. EAH is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the accounting department's day-to-day financial operations as the business continues to scale. This role is based at EAH's headquarters in Wadsworth, Ohio, and reports to the Controller. The Junior Accountant will assist with transaction processing, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance in a fast-paced distribution and eCommerce environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to develop their skills within a growing, private equity-backed organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships.
  • Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Great Plains.
  • CPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA certification.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce, distribution, or inventory-based businesses.
  • High level of accuracy and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and quarterly accounting activities.
  • Assist with month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support the reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Support sales and use tax filings and related reconciliations.
  • Reconcile sales tax information across financial systems and Avalara.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to accounting leadership.
  • Assist internal stakeholders with financial reporting requests.
