Junior Accountant - Healthcare
About The Position
Recruit Secure, LLC is assisting our client in seeking an energetic Junior Accountant with experience in the Healthcare Industry. Our client supports the back-office functions for several for-profit Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing Homes (SNF) in several states. The Junior Accountant supports the accounting team (Controller and Senior Accountants) in the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The successful candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience handling AP, Cash Management, Bank reconciliations, Month-End closings, and General Ledger functions. This is a great opportunity to further your expertise in corporate accounting and have many growth opportunities. This position is on-site (at least 4 days/week) in the corporate offices located in Valley Stream, NY. A competitive salary and a full benefits package are offered.
Requirements
- BA in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of finance and/or accounting experience
- At least 1 year of Skilled Nursing Home experience required
- Expertise with Excel
- Must be familiar with using any Accounting packages.
- Should have strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SAGE a big plus
